Project Objective
Big Sky Trading is an IT company returning to the market with plans to rebuild and grow the business after a period of dormancy.
The company has a history dating back to 2002, having previously operated in areas such as hardware supply. As the business began its next chapter, one of the first priorities was establishing a professional online presence that reflected where Big Sky Trading is today and where it intends to go next.
The objective was to create a clear, professional website that would:
- Introduce Big Sky Trading and its capabilities
- Clearly communicate its range of IT services
- Establish credibility with corporate and government clients
- Give potential clients a central place to learn about the business
- Provide a straightforward way for prospective clients to make contact
- Establish a solid digital and SEO foundation for future growth
As the company had never had a website, everything needed to be built from the ground up, from the website structure and content to the visual design and technical setup.
Approach
We designed and developed a completely custom WordPress website using Elementor, without relying on a pre-built template.
The visual direction was developed around Big Sky Trading’s existing logo and brand colours, while the website layout, styling and overall digital identity were created from scratch to give the business a modern and professional presence.
The website was intentionally kept streamlined, with four core pages.
Rather than creating separate pages for every service at this stage, the Services page brings together Big Sky Trading’s key areas of expertise, including hardware, IT security and GRC, CRM solutions, maintenance and support, cloud solutions, application development and IT consulting.
All website copy was written in-house from scratch, translating the company’s services and capabilities into clear, professional content aimed at corporate and government audiences.
From a technical and search perspective, we implemented a basic SEO foundation, including:
- On-page SEO and metadata
- RankMath configuration
- Search engine indexing setup
- Google Search Console configuration and submission
- Google Analytics 4 setup
- Sitemap and technical SEO setup
- Image optimisation and relevant alt text
The website was developed on Big Sky Trading’s existing cPanel hosting environment, allowing the business to retain its current hosting setup while the website was built and launched.
Key Results
Big Sky Trading now has its first professional website, providing the business with a central online presence as it enters its next stage of growth.
Within approximately two months of launch, the website has already begun gaining visibility through Google search:
- 333 Google Search impressions
- 11 Google Search clicks
- 3.3% average click-through rate
- 52 visitors already recorded after a month and a half
These early figures provide a positive starting point for a website with no previous online presence, with the SEO foundation now in place to build on as Big Sky Trading grows its content and visibility.
